Fiorentina vs Roma: Prediction
La Viola ended their four-game losing streak, but their winless stretch increased to six following a 1-1 draw vs league leaders, Inter Milan. Vincenzo ‘Aeroplanino’ Montella is still in charge thanks to Dusan Vlahovic’s stunning stoppage-time equalizer and he’s set to tackle his former club, AS Roma, on Friday.
With the win-draw-loss record of 4-5-7, Fiorentina are 13th on the ladder, just four points clear of the relegation zone.
The Florence-based outfit have two wins, three draws and three defeats at Artemio Franchi, scoring 1.13 goals per match and conceding 1.25 in return. They have claimed just two points from last four home fixtures.
Franck Ribery is still out with an ankle injury and there are doubts over Federico Chiesa’s fitness.
The Giallorossi moved to fourth place in the standings after a 3-1 comeback win over lowly SPAL in the previous round. Paulo Fonseca’s side are in rich vein of form, having won six of their last eight league outings.
With 32 points to their name, they’re four points off of archrivals Lazio and seven points behind the leading duo. They will be hoping to get some sort of revenge for last season’s debacle in the Coppa Italia (1-7).
Roma logged four wins, three draws and one defeat on their Serie A travels, averaging 1.38 goals netted per bout, whilst conceding 0.63.
Zappacosta, Cristante, Pastore and Santon are on the sidelines; MIrante, Smalling and Kluivert will be evaluated before the game.
The visiting side are in better shape at the moment and I can see the Giallorossi winning this game, but I’ll be more cautious this time around and pick them in DNB market with fantastic odds.
I will also take over 1.5 goals in the second half as 75 percent of Fiorentina’s goals have been scored after the break and Roma have scored 11 of their last 15 goals in second part of the match.
