Two underachieving sides meet on Sunday afternoon to lick their wounds. Still fresh off their European tragedies, they’ll now lock horns at De Kuip and try to give their fans something to be cheerful about.

Feyenoord vs PSV Eindhoven: Prediction
Feyenoord headed to Portugal with a small chance of still reaching Europa League Knockouts. The Pride of South needed to win at Porto and hope that Rangers smash Young Boys. They couldn’t keep their end of a bargain as De Trots van Zuid were defeated 3-2 thus ending their European adventure prematurely.
At home front, under Dick Advocaat, they’re doing unspectacular job. With another draw under their belt at Arnheim (seventh this season), Feyenoord now sit at 8th, having won only six times in eighteen. This isn’t something their fans are used to of late.
Games at De Kuip are either spectacular or drabbest of affairs. Four wins, three draws and only one loss, with 16:12 GD can’t mask the fact that De club van het volk are really struggling here of late.
Boeren lost their chances of qualifying for EL Knockouts long ago but even in their farewell match van Bommel’s pupils left their fans shaking heads in disappointment.
Eindhoven side had a good start to life at Eredivisie, but October’s international break brought in a crisis from which they’re still recovering. Boeren have slipped to 3rd place, seven points behind AZ, three more from Ajax.
Away from Phillips Stadion, Red and Whites are so underwhelming as of late. Only one win in last five travels. They’ve lost to Utrecht and Willem II and lately drew 1-1 with Emmen.
Feyenoord emergency room has been filled lately. Van Beek, Karsdrop, Edgar Ie, Vermeer and Haps are still out: Burger will miss out due to suspension.
Van Osch and Lammers are long absent for the guests.
Both teams to score seem like inevitability. Feyenoord kept a clean sheet at De Kuip only once since season’s start whilst PSV, for all their faults, find the net almost every time on excursions across the Netherlands. I’d try First Half goals: Over 1.5, as hosts are more proactive in that period.
And if you’re feeling lucky, go for the Draw. Two of their last three meetings ended up like that and Advocaat’s men had their fair share of draws at home. Add to that PSV’s dodgy away form; the picture paints itself.
