Falkenberg vs Orebro: Preview and Prediction

Falkenberg vs Orebro:
Swedish Allsvenskan
Date: Saturday, July 23, 2016
Kick-Off: 15:00 UK Time.
Venue: Falkenbergs IP.

Falkenbergs FF keen to avoid a defeat when they host title contenders Orebro for the Swedish Allsvenskan fixture on Saturday afternoon.

Falkenberg are 15th in the league table with same points as rock bottom side Gefle. It all looked like they were going to get their first back to back of the season last week when they were leading 3-0 away at Hammarby. But the hosts came back brilliantly and scored thrice inside the first 15 minutes of the second half to deny the visitors a priceless win.

However the draw put Falkenberg on a two match unbeaten run in the league after the win against fellow relegation candidates Gefle a week ago. At home, they are on a four match losing streak. They remain with just one win from their 7 home matches in this season so far, losing 6.

The poor run of Orebro continued over last weekend as they were held to a goal less draw by mid table side Hacken. Orebro had now failed to win their last four league games, losing 1 and drawing 3. They had also failed to score in the last three games.

Orebro have now dropped to fourth in the standings and are at a 7 point distance from the league leaders Malmo. The sides like AIK and Elfsborg are behind them inside a 3 point gap and there is plenty of pressure on them to get a result from Saturday’s encounter against Falkenberg.

Falkenberg vs Orebro: Predictions

Despite earning a win and a draw in the last two games, Falkenberg remains a very inconsistent side. They are one of the worst defensive side in the league and this was evident in the 3 goal comeback by Hammarby last weekend. They had already conceded 33 goals this season, averaging 2.35 goals per game.

Orebro haven’t won in any of the last four games and failed to score in the last three. But they are much better side than this and we can expect them to get back on track against a struggling side like Falkenberg. At the same time, I am not fully confident to back the visitors for an outright victory on Saturday.

I expect an open game on Saturday and it is very likely that both teams score at least a goal each. I will be also backing over 2.5 goals and Orebro to win or draw on a double chance.

Falkenberg vs Orebro: Tips

  1. Over 2.5 goals.
  2. Both Teams To Score.
  3. Double Chance – Draw/Orebro.
