The biggest thing that happened to Everton during the pre-season will have to be the appointment Dutch man “Ronald Koeman” as their new manager, and the sale of John Stones for a whooping 42 million pounds.
In addition, Everton brought in fresh leg for the new season. Dutch goal keeper Maarten Stekelenburg, who joined from Fulham. While Chris Renshaw joined from Oldham, Bassala Sambou joined from Coventry, Ashley Williams joined from Swansea, and their biggest sign of the window just yet, Idrissa Gueye’ joined from Aston Villa.
Koeman has plenty of injury concerns going into his first game as the manager of Everton. Muhamed Besic, Callum Connolly and Tyias Browning are injured and will watch the match from the sidelines. While the new sumemr signing from Swansea, Ashley Williams is lacking match fitness.
Romelu Lukaku is also a major doubt and Gerard Deulofeu is in-line to lead the attack if the Belgian doesnt pass fit on time.

Mousa Dembele is suspended for the first four games of the season, while Son Heung-Min is away with the South Korea football team at the Rio Olympics.
Pochettino has confirmed that Jan Vertonghen is fit and will start alongside Toby Alderweireld in center of defense.
