Europa vs Legia Warsaw
Europa League Qualification
Date: Thursday, 11 July 2019
Kick off at 19:30 UK / 20:30 CET
Venue: Victoria Stadium (Gibraltar).

The home team made a stunning comeback in the return leg of the Preliminary qualifiers against Sant Julia to book their birth in the round of sixteen. The squad narrowly lost the away game by a 3-2 scoreline but remarkably turned the tables in the fixture at home where they slotted four unanswered goals in the back of the net to make the aggregate score 6-3 in their favor.

Out of their twelve attempts at goal, five were on target and they also managed to restrict their opponents from taking not more than six attempts at goal.  They will certainly be optimistic of recording back to back wins when they welcome the visitors to the Victoria Stadium on Thursday.

The away side were a prominent figure in the table last season and were consigned to a second place finish after missing out on the top spot by four points. The team however, lost their footing towards the end of their campaign and were without a win in any of their last four ties.

With ten wins away from home, they were the best team on the road last season. They will certainly be hoping to find a crucial away goal when they make the trip to Gibraltar this week.

The team that comes out on top, at the end of the two legs, will clash with the winners of the fixture between Vitebsk and KuPS.

The maiden game between the two sides is likely to see the visitors bag the win and carry an advantage into the second leg at the end of the ninety minutes.

The home side scored six goals in their last two games and recorded a clean sheet in their final game at home well. Gallardo has been hot in action in the attacking third and has found the back of the net once in each of those fixtures.
