Estonia vs Bosnia-Herzegovina: Preview and Predictions

Estonia vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Predictions World Cup Qualifier 10th October 2017

Estonia vs Bosnia-Herzegovina
World Cup Qualifiers – Europe (Group H)
Date: Tuesday, 10th October 2017
Kick off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: A. Le Coq Arena (Tallinn).

Bosnia-Herzegovina significantly complicated their situation in the Group H with the away defeat against Cyprus a month ago.

The team led by Mehmed Bazdarevic does not have right on a failure against Estonia on the last day of the qualifying term at A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.

Getting three points in Tallinn will be quite a challenge for the Bosnian team given Estonia’s impressive run of form.

The hosts kept their net untouched in both of their September’s fixtures which saw them taking four points against Greece (at Stadio Georgios Karaiksaki) and Cyprus (on the home court).

The visitors, who featured the previous World Cup in Brazil for the first time in their history, have been playing hot and cold throughout the entire Russia 2016 campaign.

Bazdarevic will be without his key man in midfield Miralem Pjanic who is sidelined leaving the whole burden on last season’s Serie A top scorer Edin Dzeko to lead the team into the playoffs.

Dzeko enters the game in high spirits after netting a screamer in Roma’s 0-2 win over Milan in the last weekend’s Serie A derby at San Siro.

Estonia vs Bosnia-Herzegovina: Head to head

Estonia have a catastrophic record in last three matches with Bosnia-Herzegovina against whom they conceded 14 goals without scoring a single during the process.

This includes a demolishing 5-0 victory for the Bosnians at the start of the qualifying term with goals from Emir Spahic (his first and last brace for the national team), Edin Dzeko, Haris Medunjanin (who is back and expected to start the match) and Vedad Ibisevic.

Estonia vs Bosnia-Herzegovina: Prediction

Even though Martin Reim’s side showed a couple of strong defensive performances in September, we have to see Bosnians as pretty clear favourites to snatch points from A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.
