Many players put in their utmost best in the 6 EPL games that took place this weekend, but the team of the week is made for 11 players only, let’s see who made it into the best 11 of the English Premier League week – 35
1. Goal keeper
Vito Mannone (Sunderland)
It was difficult to choose a goalkeeper as there were no keeper was spectacular this weekend, but I have to settle for the 28 years old shot stopper, he made 6 saves, the highest in this weekend EPL games.
Cedric Soares (Southampton)
Soares gave his best in the right back position, he did so well to block a last line shot in 95th minute preventing Aston Villa from adding a 3rd goal, he also got an assist in the game.
Eliaquim Mangala (Manchester City)
The 25 year old defender was good at the back against Stoke City, making sure the opposition attackers had no chance at goal as their goalkeeper seem to be at rest in the game.
Lamine Kone (Sunderland)
Kone was strong in defence, he and his fellow defenders made sure Arsenal threat was minimal. He won almost all air balls that came towards him.
Alberto Moreno (Liverpool)
The left back was up to the task given to him, he controlled the left flank with ease, joining attacks when necessary. He made important tackles and gave assits for Liverpool’s 2 goals.
Jeff Schlupp (Leicester City)
Schlupp was in total control of the right flank; he was always driving in from the right and kept the opposition defenders on their toes.
Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
Hazard seems to have come back to life, we saw a last season Hazard once more on Saturday as he scored twice and the game and he also was a big threat to the opposition defence.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)
Fabregas was in charge of the middle field in the game against Bournemouth, playing defence splitting passes, and worked most of the goals. He gave a hat trick of assist.
Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)
The 25 year old midfielder was up and doing in the game, he was in charge of the midfield, making important dribbles, he also got his name on the score sheet.
Iheanacho (Manchester City)
The Nigerian born striker once again showed his great talent in this game as he scored a brace, he also had up to 5 shots on target.
Leonardo Ulloa (Leicester City)
In the absence of Jamie Vardy, Ulloa took over the attacking game before he was subbed of on in the 79th minute; he scored 2 goals in the game.
