Once again Leicester was the talk of the town as they got a sweet 2-0 revenge against Liverpool on match-day 24 of the English Premier League.
Leicester maintained their Lead on table with 3 points as Jamie Vardy looked unstoppable, while Arsenal slipped down to 4th after a goalless against Southampton, Manchester United whipped Stoke City 3-0 while Chelsea were held 0-0 by Watford.
These are my selection for English Premier League Team of the Round 24.
Borthwick-Jackson (Manchester United)
The 19-year old was superb against Stoke City, he always joined attack in the left flank with Martial forming a good threat to the opposing side’s defense.
The stand out moment of his game was the 14th minute assist for Lingaard that led to Manchester United’s opening goal.
Nicolás Otamendi (Manchester City)
The defender gave no chance to the opposing side’s attackers as he completed five tackles and four interceptions, making a total of thirteen clearances and also made a vital goal line clearance.
Van Dijk (Southampton)
The 24 year old was able to withstand the fire from Arsenal’s front men, he controlled his lines well, winning two aerial swells and three tackles but most importantly he made a last man tackle to stop Arsenal from scoring.
Danny Simpson (Leicester)
Simpson was the best option for this position in match-day 24 as every other right back had an average performance. Simpson made three tackles and had one shot on target.
