Vote for English Premier League Player of the Week: 26

This week’s English Premier League was a goal galore as all the matches witnessed at least a goal.

Manchester United lost to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light pilling up pressure for the manager Louis Van Gaal, and their City rivals also lost 1-2 to Tottenham putting Manchester City’s title race in jeopardy.

Chelsea swept aside Newcastle in a 5-1 win at Stamford Bridge as Willian, Pedro, Costa and Azpilicueta were all on score sheet.

Liverpool brutalized Aston Villa 0-6 in their own home, a match that made fans call for dual relegation on Aston Villa over the social media.

Arsenal got a late winner over Leicester at Emirates Stadium to reduce the points between the two teams.

Many players were fantastic, but only gets to be the player of the week. I’ve made list of three players for the fans to choose from.

Coutinho (Liverpool)

Was like the driver for Liverpool against Aston Villa as controlled the midfield in exceptional way, creating a free space for his team mates, he dictated the rhythm of the game with his defense splitting passes, dribbles when necessary and gets involved in almost every ball that comes in the middle of the pack.

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

Call him the assist master or the pass master, this guy never stops giving assists. He always finds his team mates even from difficult angles and makes the right pass that will lead to goal. He did so this week as that led to Theo Walcott’s goal.

Pedro (Chelsea)

Pedro was so good against Newcastle that it looked as if he was invincible, always getting himself into a free position, he made the defenders restless as he ended up scoring 2 goals. He gave the fans a what they liked seeing every week.
