El Salvador vs Jamaica
CONCACAF Gold Cup
Date: Saturday, 22nd June 2019
Kick off at 00:00 UK / 01:00 CET
Venue: BBVA Compass Stadium (Houston).
Both Jamaica and El Salvador managed to edge past their opponents in their respective opening group matches in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and will be coming into their clash on Saturday eying the chances of accomplishing back to back victories.
Theodore Whitmore’s side certainly began their opening fixture against Honduras in a very convincing fashion, going into the break with a two-goal advantage. The squad then went on to slot a third, which decided the game after their counterparts surprisingly managed to pull two goals back in the second half.
The opening match for the La Selecta’s against Curacao, on the other hand, was far less exciting with Nelson Bonilla netting the only match of the game. Although it was not the most convincing of performances, they did finish the match with five shots on target out of the attempted nine.
Both the teams are currently level on points in the group and so a win for either of the teams, in the clash on Saturday, would certainly put clear daylight between them.
Following their fixture, Theodore Whitemore’s team will be going up against Curacao while their counterparts will be taking on Honduras.

El Salvador vs Jamaica Prediction
The clash between the two teams, on Saturday, is certain to swing in favour of the Reggae Boyz, while the La Selecta’s will be succumbing to the first defeat of their Gold Cup campaign.
Although both the teams have two wins in their last three matches, the Jamaicans are certainly poised as the better of the two sides, considering that they have squared up against tougher opponents.
Dever Ekeem Orgill scored a brace for them in the 3-1 win against Honduras in their previous fixture and will be sure to pounce on the very first chance he gets when he faces Carlos de Los Cobos’s men.
On the other hand, the latter were able to get their name on the score sheet just once in their opening match against Curacao. The Jamaican defence will be a lot tougher to penetrate for the La Selecta’s and so the chances of the latter snatching a win are really bleak.
