Dynamo Kyiv have managed to pull off an upset by holding Lazio to a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Europa League tie seven days ago at Stadio Olimpico. The achievement is greater for the Ukrainians if we know that they’ve avoided a defeat in spite of the fact that Simone Inzaghi used his best possible lineup featuring the likes of Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic Savic in the starting lineup.
The Italian manager may, however, pay the price for such decision since the team obviously lacked freshness in the weekend’s away fixture at Cagliari as it was only the 95-th minute equalizer from their top scorer Ciro Immobile which saved a point for Biancocelesti at the end. Given that Lazio have been struggling to keep things tight at the back lately (four conceded goals in last two games against Dynamo Kyiv and Cagliari), we do see space for Junior Moraes to thrive in the final third on Thursday.
