Dynamo Kiev vs Club Brugge
UEFA Europa League
Date: Thursday, 18 February 2021
Kick-Off at 17.55 UK/ 18:55 CET
Venue: NSK Olimpijs’kyj, Kyiv.
Dynamo Kyiv and Club Brugge take on each other in the continent’s East vs West clash in the last 32 round of the UEFA Europa League.
Both teams featured the Champions League group stage, but only managed to come third in their respective groups and thus qualify for the knockout phase of the Europa League.
These teams hold the top spots in their domestic competitions respectively. Dynamo Kyiv are three points clear ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk after 14 rounds in the Ukrainian top flight.
On the other side, the title contest in the Belgian First Division A is all but finished with Club Brugge sitting 13 points above the second-placed Antwerp with a game in hand on them.
The Belgians should be in a better physical condition going into the tie as Dynamo Kyiv have only played one competitive match since December 12th last year.
It was last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Olimpik Donetsk. It is interesting to mention that Mircea Lucescu’s men did not keep a single clean sheet in the last three matches (counting mid-season friendlies as well).

- The Belgians won the first leg 1-0 at home before holding the Eastern-European rivals to a 3-3 draw on the road.
Dynamo Kiev vs Club Brugge Prediction
Club Brugge left a much better impression in the group phase of the UEFA Champions League. They were even just one goal short of advancing through in the very last game against Lazio at Stadio Olimpico.
The team looks fantastic under Philippe Clement. After all, they have been more than competitive against the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Lazio this season in the elite competition.
The visitors won ten on the trot across competitions. They have a deadly line-up of predators led by the likes of Bas Dost, Noa Lang, Charles De Ketelaere, Hans Vanaken, and Ruud Vormer. Each of these players are well capable of scoring goals.
We doubt Dynamo’s defence will have what it takes to keep the Belgians at bay.
Along with that, we’ll go with the red-hot Club Brugge and back the away win as the main betting option at the odds of 2.55.
