Dundalk vs BATE Borisov: Prediction
BATE are a better quality side than their Irish opponents and this was evident in the first leg clash at the Borisov Arena. At the same time Dundalk showed no intention in going forward, but BATE was rather wasteful in their finishing.
When the teams met last season under similar circumstances it ended in a goal-less draw. The hosts are expected to play a defensive game vary of their opponents quality. But the match could open up in the second half. Still, I believe goals will be far and few and under 2.5 is a good choice for this match.
BATE were held to a draw by Finnish side Seinaejoen JK in the away leg previous round of the qualifier. It will be safe to back them on a double chance rather than opting for a straight win.
