Dinamo Minsk vs Derry City
Europa League First qualifying round
Date: Thursday, 19 July 2018
Kick-Off at 16:00 UK
Venue: Stadyen Dynama (Minsk).
After bagging a 0-2 win over Derry City in the first leg, Dinamo Minsk host the Northern Ireland rivals hoping to build on the success and make their way to the next round of the Europa League Qualifiers. Goals from Galovic and Khvashchinskiy proved enough in the first leg and Dinamo boast rock-solid records of recent, which will have them very confident on Thursday too.
Belarusian thus come into the clash on the back of a four-game winning streak and a nine-game unbeaten series, where they outclassed Slutsk, Dnepr Mogilev, and Tarpeda in Belarus Premier League ahead of the first leg. We’ve seen them regularly net numbers of goals and they’ll surely be very tough to hold off once again.
Derry City have also struggled for consistency on the road and they’ve suffered six losses in last eight trips – which will obviously come as a great worry for Kenny Shiels as well. They’ve failed to find the net in both of their last two outings and we do feel Dinamo Minsk will be a great obstacle once again.
We’ll now back Dinamo Minsk to secure another win over the rivals and we’ll back them to win to Nil at 1.60, which does come off as a great advantage – especially seeing the home side regularly base their success on great defensive displays.
We hope not to see Derry City as sitting ducks, though, and we’ll thus also go for Under 2.5 goals FT at 1.91. We have seen all of Dinamo’s last six outings end with two or fewer goals, just as three of Derry’s respective last five – which does seem like further evidence for such a bet here.
