Dijon v Caen
France – Ligue 1
Date: Saturday, 24th February 2018
Kick off at 19:00 UK/ 20:00 CET
Venue: Stade Gaston Gerard (Dijon).
Saturday night will see 13th place play 12th and Dijon and Caen also have the same points on 32. The clubs will feel relatively safe but will know they will need at least another 10 points to get out of the woods.
Dijon has, to their credit, pushed on in recent weeks despite losing to Monaco heavy by 4-0, a defeat was expected. But Dijon are all about home form where incredibly given their current league position are one of the best teams in Ligue 1 at home. They would place in 4th position of the best home teams and have won 8 games from 12. They are unbeaten at home in 3 months.
Caen have gone 3 games unbeaten, though the last two were draws but the club have remained a solid unit throughout February in their quest to remain in Ligue 1. On the road does tell a different story and the club have won just 3 times from 12 games and once in their past six attempts. Goals have been a huge problem too away from home and they share the worst record in that department alongside with Amiens where they have hit the target on just 7 occasions since August.
