Derby vs QPR
English Football League Championship
Date: Friday, 31st March 2017
Kick off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: iPro Stadium.
Championship is back in action after the international break. The first game of the Matchday No 39 is set to be played at iPro Stadium where Derby County will host Queens Park Rangers.
The break could not have arrived in a better moment for the hosts who have been on a horrific streak in the last couple of matches.
Gary Rowett started the season as the head coach of Birmingham City, but he was very soon replaced by Gianfranco Zola on the Blues’ bench.
He came to try and start a positive ruin for Derby which would see them challenging the promotional playoffs positions again and he drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at The City Ground on the debut.
Queens Park Rangers
The story is quite the opposite with QPR who have been enjoying a thrilling shape before the international break.
The Hoops have three wins and a draw from Elland Road in the last four league fixtures and they will come in the match with the Rams in high spirits.
The last match has seen Ian Holloway’s men drubbing the rock-bottomed Rotherham United 5-1 at Loftus Road Stadium.
Derby vs QPR: Head to head
Derby lead the head to head tie by two wins after they took a narrow 0-1 victory from Loftus Road in mid-December last year.
We must mention that six of the previous seven head to head meetings between the two teams saw one or none sides finding the net.
Derby vs QPR: Prediction
Derby County are the bookies’ favourites, but we would not like to risk our money on them against an in-form QPR side.
Gary Rowett did have time to put things in bed during the break, but Ian Holloway certainly has his weapons on both ends of the pitch.
Derby vs QPR: Bet Tips
The primary pick will be a Double Chance – Draw or QPR at odds of 1.85 with Bet365.
Both Teams to Score at is a decent pick as well because none of the teams have rock-solid defensive lines. This is priced at 2.00 odds with Betfair.
