Denmark vs Sweden Prediction & Match Preview

Denmark vs Sweden
International Friendly
Date: Wednesday, 11 November 2020
Kick-Off at 18.30 UK
Venue: Brondby Stadium.

Denmark bagged two important wins in October and now return to International duties in a good mood, looking to keep it up as they meet Sweden for a friendly on Wednesday – just days ahead of the important clash against Iceland in Copenhagen.

Red and Whites beat Iceland (0-3) and England (0-1) on the road and now seemingly have it all in their hands if they want to win the Nations League Group with a shocking finish. They have shown off as a very tough side defensively with Simon Kjaer leading the line and we do expect a great defensive setup on Wednesday too – despite no high stakes involved just yet.

Sweden have, on the other hand, struggled for points in Group 3 and sit rock-bottomed with no points to their name after four games. They saw losses in Croatia (2-1) and Portugal (3-0) in October, after beating Russia (1-2) in a friendly. They will be desperate to return to the winning ways and shock Croatia at home ground later this week in a bid to secure survival in League A, which will make the trip to Brondby important too.

Denmark vs Sweden Head-to-head

Denmark haven’t beaten Sweden since 2014, when they turned a friendly in Copenhagen their way with a last-gasp penalty-kick winner.

Sweden earned two wins and two draws in the last four head-to-head clashes.

We’ve seen just a single goal in the sides’ last two matchups.

Denmark vs Sweden Prediction

We will now stick our necks out for Denmark to end the unwanted streak against the Scandinavian rivals and we’ll go for them to bag their fourth win in a row at 2.40. They will be very motivated to impress and we hope to see them turn a narrow occasion their way on Wednesday evening.

Still, we expect them to base such success on another great display at the back. With that in mind, we feel just a single goal could make all the difference yet again. We’re thus also backing Denmark to keep a clean sheet at 2.62, which would be their fifth in a row and feels like great value at this point.

Denmark vs Sweden Bet Tips

  • Home win @ 2.40
  • Denmark to keep a clean sheet @ 2.62.
