Denmark vs Romania
WC Qualification Europe
Date: 8th October 2017
Kick off at 17:00 UK/ 18:00 CET
Venue: Telia Parken.
Denmark host Romania on the last day of their WC Qualification campaign this Sunday at Telia Parken.
The visitors have lost all hopes of making it to Russia and the home win seems to be the only logical betting option here.
Danes may have unexpectedly dropped some important points at the start of the term, but they have had a thrilling September with back-to-back demolishing wins over Poland and Kazakhstan. And they have started the final round of fixtures with a thrilling win away at Montenegro. The team just need a draw here and will qualify for the play-offs as one of the best second placed teams.
The man who stole the show was Thomas Delaney who bagged four goals across two fixtures netting the first international goals of his career.
Apart from him, the Norwegian manager Age Hareide has a host of lethal options which can strike in the final third, primarily Ajax’s youngster Kasper Dolberg and Tottenham’s midfielder Christian Eriksen who is the team’s top scorer with six goals in this term.
The visitors, who made their way to EURO 2016 in France, have been struggling a lot with the efficiency ever since the start of the WC Qualifying campaign.
Tricolorii notched no more than eight goals (a goal per game) which is a fairly poor record given the name s of Kazakhstan and Armenia are in the Group E.
Denmark vs Romania: Head to head
Romania have, however, always been a tricky opposition for the Danes who have a negative record in their H2H stats with Tricolorii.
De Rod-Hvide failed to find the target in both of their last two meetings with Romania, including a goalless draw from March this year at Arena Nationala in Bucharest.
Denmark vs Romania: Prediction
Even though Danes struggled to beat Romania over the history, we feel they just can’t blow this up and we see them backing up the fine form with the victory over struggling opposition in front of their fans.
