Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur
England – Premier League
Date: Sunday, 25 February 2018
Kick-Off at 12:00 UK
Venue: Selhurst Park (London).
Mauricio Pochettino has the luxury of a squad free of injuries ahead of the clash with local London rivals Crystal Palace. Actually, it’s only Toby Alderwereild who has had some fitness issues lately and he might likely skip the match, but the rest of the players (including the deadly trio in the attack) are all ready to play on Sunday.
This, unfortunately, can’t be said for Roy Hodgson who has had plenty of issues with sidelined players of late. The experienced English manager won’t be able to count on nine players (including his second top scorer Wilfried Zaha) ahead of the Spurs’ visit. These problems have actually caused the somewhat slower run of from for the Glaziers who will head into this winless in last four league ties.
Things have particularly looked poor at the back for Palace who have conceded nine goals in last four fixtures, including three in the previous round’s loss to Everton away at Goodison Park. Given that Tottenham need a three-pointer here to try and overtake Chelsea in the battle for the top-four finish, we have to see the visitors as massive favourites to get the spoils against local rivals in the first game of Sunday’s program.
The man who is expected to lead Tottenham to the new success is obviously Harry Kane who currently tops the league’s goalscorers list with 23 goals to his name. Kane was on target in each of last three matches for the Spurs and he should have plenty of room to keep the impressive run of form going past the struggling opposition here.
