Corinthians vs Vitoria
International Friendly
Date: Sunday, 10 June 2018
Kick-Off at 01:00 UK
Venue: Arena Corinthians (Sao Paulo).
Corinthians host Vitoria for their second home game in just days after hosting Santos on Thursday, looking to build on solid records in front of the home crowd and challenge the Serie A top 4 after ten games played.
Timao have seen three losses in their last four outings, though, and have a lot to work on as they look to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 loss at new table-toppers Flamengo. They’ve struggled to impress in the attacking third and few goals they’ve conceded meant just one win in last five games, which will come off very worrying for the crowd at Arena Corinthians.
Vitoria will now hope to capitalize on such troubles but they’ve been far from impressive themselves, sitting in the bottom part of the table with eight points earned in nine games. They’ve suffered thriller losses to both Internacional and Santos in last two games despite netting four goals along the way, as Vagner Mancini just couldn’t find a cure for their defensive woes.
We will now back Corinthians to turn another contest their way and bag the all-important points, which comes at 1.55 odd. The home side have been in better shape and we do believe they have what it takes to outclass the struggling visitors in search of consistency in front of the home crowd.
We do expect another thriller clash, though, and with that in mind, we’ll also back Over 2.5 goals in the game at the odds of 2.28. We have seen both sides regularly score and concede goals lately and we now hope for another occasion with an attacking way to go about the market.
