Colombia had a strong showing at the World Cup 2014 in Brazil, but were disappointing in the Copa America 2015 in Chile. They scored just 1 goal from 4 matches in the tournament and were knocked out in penalties by Argentina in the quarter finals. The La Tricolor had made a turbulent start to their World Cup qualifying campaign this term, but they have bounced back with consecutive wins in their last two matches after failing to win in their previous three. They are drawn into a difficult group for the Centenario tournament alongside hosts USA, Costa Rica and Paraguay.

Haiti qualified for the Copa America after defeating Trinidad and Tobago in a one-off play-off match. They are drawn alongside Brazil, Peru and Ecuador in Group B and it remained to be seen if they can manage a major scalp. Haiti have just one win in their last 5 matches and they have also failed to score in 4 of their last 5 games.

Colombia: Predicted Line-up (4-3-2-1)

Ospina – Diaz, Murillo, Zapata, Arias – Celis, Torres, Perez – Cuadrado, Cardona – Bacca.

Haiti: Predicted Line-up (4-4-2)

Placide – Christian, Goreux, Jerome, Genevois – Millien, Alexandre, Lafrance, Mustivar – Guerrier, Maurice.

Colombia vs Haiti: Head-to-Head

Colombia won 2-0 in the only official match against Haiti played on February 2009 at the Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas.

Colombia vs Haiti: Prediction

Colombia will be without their captain James Rodriguez, but this is hardly going to influence the result of this friendly match. Jose Pekerman’s side are heavy favourites for this match and they are expected to win this by a big margin.

At the same time, there is no room for complacency here, because Haiti are a largely unknown entity and it is uncertain what they have in their bag.

My Prediction for this match is a 4-0 win for Colombia and I back them to win both halves.
