Colombia and Australia will head into their friendly at Craven Cottage in an entirely opposite spirits after Friday’s set of friendlies around the globe. Los Cafeteros have shown fantastic fighting spirits to recover from a two-goal deficit against the European giants France and come on top 2-3 at the end on French soil.
The South Americans should now have a much easier task when they take on Australia who have revealed plenty of defensive holes in the 4-1 catastrophe against Norway (who did not even make it to Russia). These holes will certainly be exploited by trop quality strikers of Colombia’s. Jose Pekerman has a super strong firepower on display up front, including the names of Radamel Falcao, Carlos Bacca, Luis Muriel and James Rodriguez who have all been playing big parts in their respective teams (Monaco, Villarreal, Sevilla and Bayern Munich). Muriel, Falcao and Quintero were on target against the star-studded French outfit at Stade de France and they are expected to back up the impressive form with another strong display against Australia here.
Socceroos looked completely disoriented at the back under the new manager Bert van Marwijk. They have been anything but impressive in the WC Qualifying campaign either to be fair, and things don’t look good at all for them ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

Los Cafeteros have been red-hot in the final third in the last couple of matches. Jose Pekerman’s side has bagged as many as seven goals in last two friendlies with China PR and France.
Given Australia’s defensive woes revealed in Friday’s game against Norway, we can hardly go past predicting a comprehensive victory for the South American side here.
