Roman Abrahamovic and Chelsea board-room have reviewed the position of Jose Mourinho at the club and decided against sacking him at this point of time.
Our sources reveal that Abramovich refuse to give Mourinho the axe at this time due to the unavailability of his top targets Pep Guardiola and Diego Simeone. The two high profile managers wont be available during the mid-season.
This allows Jose Mourinho more time to turn things around at Chelsea who are rooted at 16th in the English Premier League table. The Blues have already tasted defeat in 7 of their 12 league games this season, the number of defeats the highest suffered by Mourinho in a single season with Chelsea.
It is also understood that the Blues might have to to pay Mourinho a significant severance package after he had just signed a £30 million four-year deal in August. There are no clear indications on any financial clauses in his contract relating to the club’s qualification for the Champions League.
A huge portion of Chelsea board-room has fallen out of favour of Mourinho’s off-field conduct and will be forced to re-consider his position, if he still fails to turn around results in the league.
The manager who recently received a one-match stadium ban for his comments to referee during Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat at West Ham face heavy criticism after he publicly axed first team doctor Eva Carneiro, earlier this season.
Canerio was a popular member of the backroom team and she is suing Chelsea for constructive dismissal and is also taking individual legal action against Mourinho.
The troubles are not yet finished for the Portuguese manager, as a significant number of his players are also unhappy to play for him.
Anyway, he got his wish, more time, now let’s wait and see what is in the cards when the international break ends. Chelsea will host Norwich City up-next on Saturday, 21st November 2015 in match-day 13 of the Premier League.
