Chelsea out from the race to sign Liverpool target Alex Teixeira

Chelsea have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Shakthar Donetsk’s Alex Teixeira, but Liverpool are sweating on the negotiations after the Ukrainian club are reluctant to lower their asking price for the player.

But Shakthar are standing firm on their £38 million asking price for Brazilian and have so far rejected two bids from the Merseyside club.

Chelsea on the other side, feel the price is too heavy and are unwilling to make any further bids for the player.

According to Ukrain based publication Futbol Ukraine via twitter, Liverpool have already agreed terms with the 26-year-old attacking midfielder.

But Shakthar has already turned down Liverpool improved bid of £28m after their initial bid of £24.5m was rejected last week.

The Ukrainian outfit are in no mood to reduce their £38 million valuation and this has made the negotiations tough for the interested parties.

Jurgen Klopp responded that he has nothing to say about the matter when asked if Liverpool are ready to raise their bid for the player.

Teixeira on the other hand, is very keen to move to a more competitive league like Premier League and expressed his desire to move in the current transfer window.

He has scored an incredible 22 goals in 15 league games this season and and four in the Champions League, including two against Real Madrid.
