Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois wants Real Madrid move

Thibaut Courtois is knocking on the door of Real Madrid and the representatives of the Belgian goalkeeper are reported to have contacted the Spanish Giants over a proposed move.

As reported by the publication OkDario, Courtois has a desire to play for Real Madrid and has offered his services to the club on numerous occasions previously.

The Belgian goal keeper is currently unhappy with the crisis at Chelsea, who are currently 14th in the Premier League table.

Playing for Real Madrid is a long time wish of the 23-year old and he is keen to move back to the Spanish capital, where he enjoyed an excellent spell on loan with Atletico Madrid.

It is also reported that this is not the first time Courtois has made such an attempt. He is said to have tried to force a move during his tenure on loan at Atletico Madrid.

However, Real Madrid prefer to sign Manchester United’s David De Gea, who almost made the switch to La Liga in the summer.

Complications or delay in paperwork on transfer deadline day has blocked his move back then. And United took full advantage of the situation to renew the contract of the Spanish international with a £30m release clause attached to it.

Despite the strong advances made by Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid will try to sign De Gea in the summer of 2016. But now the Blancos have one more option in hand.

On the other hand, the delicate situation surrounding the managerial position at both Chelsea and Manchester United may be a stumbling block in Real’s path to get either of these shot stoppers.

Chelsea are operating with interim manager Guus Hiddink at the moment are linked with the likes of Pep Gaurdiola and Diego Simeone to take over on permanent basis at the end of the season.

At Old Trafford, the future of Louis Van Gaal is under a lot of speculation and the same set of high profile managers are tipped to take over for next season, hoping to bring them back to the glory days.
