Celta Vigo vs Granada
Spanish La Liga
Date: Sunday, 15 September 2019
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Estadio de Balaídos (Vigo).
Despite being a new entrant into the competition, after gaining promotion from the Segunda this summer, Granada has been impressive so far in the La Liga. They began with a whirlwind of an opener against Villarreal, and on the road as well, which saw a total of eight goals. The tie had ended in a draw with a 4-4 scorecard.
Later they dealt with the Sevilla onslaught, limiting themselves to just a 0-1 loss, and delivered a classic win over Espanyol with a 0-3 road win.
At this point, no longer the established titans in the league consider this set of players as kids in the block. Celta will be no exception either, and this coming despite their admirable start to the league campaign.
Quite easily Vigo had one of the toughest opening schedules for any side in the competition – with their first three fixtures coming against Real Madrid, Valencia, and Sevilla. But despite this tough hand, they were dealt with, the squad lost just once (against Madrid) and stood unbeaten against the next two while conceding just once against the two.
As such, sparks are sure to fly when these two determined outfits take on each other this Sunday.

Celta Vigo vs Granada Prediction
First – the fact that Granada is comparatively inexperienced in this top division (taking into account their stint in the Segunda) will make things harder for them. To add to this, the team is on the road, and to pile further on – the hosts of the day have managed to deal with one of the toughest opening schedules impressively, and have built up momentum in their favor.
Moreover, h2h clashes too paint a darker picture of the above, as Celta won the previous four meetings on the trot, and scored ten goals in total while conceding just two. Finally, the last the visitors won an overall clash was seven years back, and they are winless at this venue in the last decade.
As these stats overwhelmingly suggest, our favorites for the day are the Celticos.
