Burton Albion vs Middlesbrough
England – Championship
Date: Monday, 2 April 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: Pirelli Stadium (Burton-upon-Trent).
Boro will finally get an opportunity to grab a three-pointer after a series of super challenging fixtures in the last couple of weeks. Tony Pulis’ men are about to travel ti Pirelli Stadium to take on the league’s rock-bottomed side in an attempt to return on the winning ways after claiming only a single point in last two rounds.
In Pulis’ defense, Boro played the likes of Brentford (21-1 on the road) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (1-2 loss at home) in the process. Luckily for them, their rivals in the battle for the top six finish have been anything bit successful as Boro are still holding the sixth place, with a chance to improve to fifth with a win over Burton here.
The Brewers are in a very tough situation. They’ve collected only one point in last six league games and Sunderland’s win over Derby at iPro on Friday has pushed them down to the very foot of the league ladder. The safe zone is now as many as six points away after Birmingham City defeated Ipswich Town on Saturday. Nigel Clough’s side has huge issues with the efficiency in the final third since Burton has bagged no more than two goals in last six league outings.
Knowing that Boro have been very tough to break down under Tony Pulis lately, we can hardly see the end of a crisis for the Brewers here.
