Bristol Rovers vs Plymouth Argyle
England – League One
Date: Saturday, 8 September 2018
Kick-Off at 13:30 UK / 14:30 CET
Venue: Memorial Stadium, Bristol.
Plymouth Argyle missed out on the play-offs spots by just three points in the previous term of League One, but they got off to a rough kick off to the new campaign.
They sit at the very foot of the ladder with just two points in six games having lost all of three away fixtures so far.
It’s a bitterly poor record which does not promise at all ahead of team’s trip to Bristol for the clash with the Pirates on Saturday afternoon.
Luckily for Derek Adams, the hosts will also enter the affair low on confidence after having a poor start to the season of their own.
Bristol Rovers are just two points above Plymouth and they’ll come into this off the back of three defeats and a draw in last four outings in all competitions.
Interestingly, the team took all four points on travels as they lost each of three home games so far in the season, netting just two goals in the process.

Bristol Rovers vs Plymouth Argyle: Prediction
The Pirates should rally get the chance to improve their dismal attacking record at home and score two or more goals past the second weakest defensive line in the league at the moment. The Pilgrims shipped 11 goals in last three games in all competitions.
Striker Stefan Payne, who notched two goals for Bristol Rovers so far (including one in last weekend’s away draw at Shrewsbury Town), should have plenty of room to create past such defense.
Apart from the home win, we’ll back the Englishman to score anytime as an alternative option at the odds of 6/5 (2.20).
