Bristol City vs Blackburn Rovers
English League Championship
Date: Sunday, 2nd August 2018

Venue: Ashton Gate (Bristol).
The late Sunday game sees two side currently accumulating momentum taking on each other. Bristol City will be hoping to build up on their good performances while Blackburn will fight to keep their unbeaten run.
Bristol didn’t start the season well. Still Johnson’s boys managed to improve their game in the last few weeks. The team looks to have stabilized the defensive line which caused some problems in the earlier fixtures. That’s probably the most improved area in their game and that brings stability to the whole team.
Bristol took a hard fought victory against promotion candidates Swansea away. Andy Weimann opened the score before even a minute had passed. The Redbirds proceeded to defend well and hit sharp on the counter. The home side may have had most of the possession but Bristol actually produced more shots on goal than their opponents.
Blackburn are already looking like the pleasant surprise this season. Tony Mowbray is really enjoying his time here. Blackburn plays well and gets outstanding results. They haven’t faced any of the strongest sides in the league yet but the team has gathered some momentum which they need to bring into the next game.
Midweek Rovers smashed Lincoln with 4-1 in the Carabao Cup. The team kept some key players on the bench and there shouldn’t be many tired legs. The league situation was similar last weekend. Rovers faced Brentford at home and despite the visitors dominating most of the game, the home side emerged victorious.
