Brighton vs Huddersfield: Preview and Predictions

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Huddersfield Town
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 7 April 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: The American Express Community Stadium (Falmer).

Brighton & Hove Albion will be hoping to rebound from back-to-back defeats to Everton and Leicester City on Saturday when they host fellow newcomers Huddersfield Town in Falmer. With only three points separating the two sides close to the drop zone, we have reasons to call this a true relegation six-pointer at this stage.

The Terriers have not been enjoying a much better shape either of late. They’ve failed to find the back of the net in four straight league outings claiming no more than a single point in the process. The latest of failures came seven days ago when they fell 1-0 away at Newcastle United. They’ve lost five of last six on travels in the league failing to score in any of these defeats.

Given that Brighton have been pretty impressive in front of their fans throughout the season, the hosts could well find the way out of the crisis and snatch the much-needed three-pointer here. The Seagulls have won four on the trot on the home patch before losing 0-2 to the Foxes prior to the international break. They’ve netted two or more goals in all of these four wins along the way.

Glenn Murray has been the standout performer for the Chris Hughton’s side so far in the campaign. The English striper has found the net 11 times in 21 appearances in this term of the Premier League. Knowing that the Terriers have such a poor record on the road, Murray should get a nice chance to add to this tally and he is our top suggestion for the anytime goalscorer bets.

Brighton vs Huddersfield: Head-to-head

Teams have eight wins apiece coming into their 28th head to head meeting.

As many as 11 matches have ended without a winner along the way.

Reach of last four H2H affairs saw home sides grabbing the spoils.

Brighton vs Huddersfield: Prediction

Brighton have been on an impressive run at The American Express Community Stadium before the loss to Leicester City.

The clash with the struggling terriers is a perfect occasion for them to bounce back and return on the winning ways there.

We will also back the hosts to keep a clean sheet given that David Wagner’s men have not bagged a single goal in five of last six games on the road in the Premier League.
