Brentford vs Nottingham Forest
2018/19 EFL Championship
Date: Saturday, 1 September 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Griffin Park (Brentford).

Nottingham Forest have been a very tough side to beat early in the new campaign and they’ve managed to retain a seven-game unbeaten streak across competitions, building on a solid pre-season and now travelling to Brentford in the hope they can keep it up.

The Tricky Trees have seen two thriller draws as they held off Wigan Athletic on the road and Birmingham City at home with eight goals seen in total, but we’ve seen them return to the winning ways with a great 3-1 win over Premier League rivals Newcastle United on Wednesday – which promises Karanka’s men in great spirits.

Brentford have bagged a more narrow win over Cheltenham Town in League Cup earlier this week but they’ll be happy with a return to the winning ways after two underwhelming Championship performances, where they held Villa to a 2-2 draw and suffered a 1-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers. Bees will now be very motivated to build on the three-game winning streak at Griffin Park, but Nottingham promise a great challenge!

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest: Head-to-head

  • Brentford have earned five wins in the sides’ last six head-to-head clashes.
  • Nottingham have snatched a thriller 3-4 win on their last trip to this ground though.
  • We’ve seen a total of 13 goals in the last three games, as Brentford bagged a narrow 0-1 win in their last matchup in April 2018.

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest: Prediction

Brentford will now be very motivated to build on rather convincing head-to-head records but we don’t see them making it happen, as we rather go for the sides to share the spoils at Griffin Park in a Draw priced at 3.50. We have seen both sides in solid shape recently and we don’t see this one going either way this time around!

However, we do feel we’re in for goals and Nottingham will have to find the net to leave Brentford unbeaten at this point, as we also back a YES on Both teams to score – which comes at 1.61 and looks like more of a banker bet with both sides’ great goalscoring tallies of recent taken into concern.
