Brazil vs Panama Prediction & Match Preview

Brazil vs Panama
International Friendlies
Date: Saturday, 23 March 2019
Kick-Off at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Do Dragao (Porto).

Brazil are looking to maintain their six-win streak on Saturday evening when they take on CONCACAF outfit Panama in their maiden friendly of the year.

Selecao come into the match as enormous favourites even though they will be without their main star Neymar who skipped PSG’s early Champions league exit against Manchester United as well as a number of Ligue 1 games in the last couple of months.

However, Tite will still have a very strong line-up on disposal here. Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison are expected to lead the line up front, while Real Madrid and Barcelona stars Casemiro and Philippe Coutinho should find their place in the center of the park.

Selecao were super tough to break down under Tite recently. They kept nine clean sheets in past ten matches and they did not concede a single goal in any of six friendlies after the World Cup in Russia.

Brazil vs Panama: Head-to-head

This will only be the third head to head encounter between the two teams.

Brazil won past two games without conceding a single goal along (2-0 and 4-0).

Brazil vs Panama: Prediction

Panama are going through the “generation change” process. They only have four men with five or more appearances for the national team in the entire squad. It seems to be a very tough process as Los Canaleros lost ten and drew one of past eleven games in all competitions.

The thread includes three World Cup defeats to England (0-3), Belgium (1-6) and Tunisia (1-2). Looking from this perspective, it’s hard to understand why Panama chose to play opposition such as Brazil as they are desperate for a confidence-boosting win which could potentially come against weaker counterparts.

Brazil are massive favourites and we expect them to storm their way to a comprehensive victory of by at least three goals difference.
