The Selecao certainly gave their fans a reason to cheer about, earlier in the summer, when they went all the way to the finals of the Copa America where they thrashed three past Peru to be crowned as champions for the first time in over a decade.

Despite losing talisman Neymar to injury right at the outset, the Brazilians ensured their presence at the Maracana by taking down quite a few notable names, including the Messi led Argentina in the semi-finals.

Colombia, on the other hand, had to end their trip short after they were shown the exit door by Chile in the quarterfinals. The squad managed to hold on till the end of regulation time, but luck ran out on them soon after with Tesillo missing from the spot.

Nevertheless, Colombia are no easy side to brush past and have picked up the win in five of their last six competitive games. However, getting the better of Brazil, who are yet to taste defeat this year, just does not fit the equation.

Brazil vs Colombia Prediction

Tite’s men have been on a stellar form in their recent fixtures and their success in the Copa stands a testament to it.

The Brazilians have not been shy in racking up the goals tally, along with picking up the win, either and have scored ten goals from their last three matches alone. Furthermore, although Colombia have been showing promise in their respective clashes, it needs saying that it has not been the case in their previous matches against the Selecao.

Carlos Queiroz’s side have got the better of Brazil just once in their previous ten matchups, including friendlies. Considering the current streak at hand as well, the win is more than likely to swing in favor of the Brazilians at the end of the ninety minutes.

Additionally, Tite’s side have been consistent in breaching their foes before the break in three of their last four games.

Taking into account that they have also found the back of the net in the opening forty-five minutes in their previous two meetings with Colombia too, you can count on the Selecao to get their names on the scoresheet right from the first half.
