Brann vs Odd BK
Norway – Eliteserien
Date: Sunday, 13th August 2017
Kick off at 17:00 UK/ 18:00 CET
Venue: Brann Stadion.
Two Europa League outfits are set to take on each other in the 18th round of Eliteserien this Sunday at Brann Stadion.
None of the two top half sides can be proud of their current form and it will be interesting to see which of them is going to step up and potentially start a positive run.
The hosts lost touch with Sarpsborg and Molde to drop out of the Top 3 in the Eliteserien standings after a dreadful period of five consecutive league fixtures without a single win.
The team led by Lars Nilsen actually failed to find the back of the net in three of their last four league matches in all competitions including a disappointing home loss to Ruzomberok (0-2) in the second qualifying round of Europa League.
Odd have one of the weakest attacking lines in the league, but they still somehow manage to stay in the top half.
Dag Fagermo clearly lacks a predator in the final third if we know that the team does not have a player who scored more than two goals in 17 rounds of the competition.
Odd bounced back after an expected Europa League elimination to Dinamo Zagreb with the 2-1 league win over Sogndal, but they ended their NM Cupen run with a horrendous 4-0 defeat to Sarpsborg on Wednesday evening.
Brann vs Odd: Head to head
Two of last three H2H encounters between the two teams saw goalless draws and we would not be surprised to see such an outcome this time out given the poor attacking form both teams showed over the last couple of weeks.
Brann vs Odd: Prediction
Brann are 5/6 favs to claim the win, but we’ll rather go with the draw set at 11/4.
The alternative bet has to be Under 2.5 goals FT at pretty tempting 4/5 odds.
