Bournemouth vs Wolves
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 23 February 2019
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Vitality Stadium (Bournemouth).
Wolverhampton Wanderers are enjoying an overwhelming Premier League campaign this term. They’ve just joined the elite class of English football coming from Championship, but it did not bother Wolves to spend most of the season in the top flight of the standings.
The Wolves were so consistent of late with five wins and two draws in last seven outings in all competitions. Such stellar form brought them up to 7th place in the league ladder which is the highest they can achieve at the moment (behind top six division heavyweights).
On top of such splendid league campaign, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men made it to the quarter-final of the FA Cup thanks to a 0-1 victory over Championship side Bristol City last weekend. They previously eliminated the likes of Liverpool in the third round of the competition.
Bournemouth vs Wolves: Head-to-head
This will only be the fourth head to head encounter between these two likes.
Bournemouth earned the domestic double over Wolves in the 2014/15 Championship campaign (two separate 2-1 wins).
Wolverhampton Wanderers came on top when teams met each other in mid-December last year at Molineux (2-0).
Bournemouth vs Wolves: Prediction
Eddie Howe had huge problems with the list of injured players as first-team regulars David Brooks, Callum Wilson and Simon Francis were all sidelined in the previous round defeat to Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield.
The Cherries lost back-to-back league games to Cardiff City and Liverpool without scoring a single goal in the process.
Bournemouth, however, tend to play much better in front of their fans where the Cherries won 7, drew 3 and lost only 3 of 13 games so far in the season. They come into this low on confidence, but it will be anything but a one-way street for Wolves regardless of their fine spell of form in recent weeks.
Bournemouth scored two or more goals in four of last five matches on the home patch. The streak includes a 4-0 thumping of Chelsea in the previous home fixture. This is why we see the Both Teams To Score option as the bets betting pick here.
