Bournemouth vs Preston
England – League Cup
Date: Tuesday, 20th September 2016,
Kick-Off: 19:45 UK
Venue: Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth.
AFC Bournemouth have been struggling since the beginning of this season, but they were lucky overcome Morecambe in the previous stage of the League Cup. Now they will be hosting Preston North End Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.
Bournemouth’s struggle in the Premier League continued over the weekend, they were brutalized 4-0 at the the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side were a strong match for them as they couldn’t pull a goal back in the encounter. Bournemouth’s woes started very early in the game as K. De Bruyne scored first 15 minutes, 10 minutes later K. Iheanacho doubled the lead. Later in the second half, Raheem Sterling and I. Gundogan killed of the game in the 48th and 66th minute to make it 4-0. Bournemouth will be hoping to get back on track as they are facing a second tier opponent.
Meanwhile Preston North End have been going through their own struggles, they have lost 3 of their last 5 games. They received a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Brentford on Saturday. S. Hogan’s hat-trick, H. Dean’s goal and and own goal from C. Humphrey summed up the 5 goals. If Preston can focus on their defense, they can stir up still waters against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium and get at least a draw in the game.

Bournemouth vs Preston: Prediction
Both teams have been struggling and are both near the bottom of their respective tables. AFC Bournemouth are 17th in the premier league table with 4 points while Preston are 19th in the table with 6 points. Both teams lost woefully on Saturday, and will start the game with low confidence.
The game could ho either way, but Preston’s form look better than their host, I expect them to get something out of the game despite playing away from home.
