Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece
World Cup Qualifiers – Europe (Group H)
Date: Friday, 9th June 2017
Kick off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadion Bilino Polje.
Bosnia-Herzegovina will host Greece in what might prove out to be a crucial qualifier for the World Cup in Russia 2018.
The match is set to kick off this Friday evening at Stadion Bilino Polje in Zenica.
The Dragons managed to recover after a demolishing 4-0 defeat to the group’s main favourites Belgium in early October last year.
The team led by Mehmed Bazdarevic collected 10 points from the opening five rounds of the competition and a potential victory over Greece could be the decisive step on the way to Russia for the Bosnians.
Edin Dzeko ended the season in Serie A as the league’s top scorer in Roma’s shirt and he will be our top call for the anytime goalscorer pick at the 5/4 odds.
Michael Skibbe managed to get Greece back on track after a horrendous campaign Ethniki had in the last term of EURO 2016 Qualifications.
Greece are off to a strong start and they will be super motivated after holding Belgium to a 1-1 draw in the previous round.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece: Head to head
Greece have been much more successful over the history as they suffered only a single defeat in eight H2H clashes with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Bosnians, however, picked up the victory in the last match on the home pitch when Edin Dzeko bagged a brace in a 3-1 win at Bilino Polje.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece: Prediction
Bosnia will come in the game as favourites, but we have the impression that the bookmakers have seriously underestimated the Greeks here.
The 4/6 odds offered on the home win certainly do not have the value which is why we’ll skip the outcome bets. Greece will park the bus from the very first minute of the clash and we’d be very surprised to see a high-scoring affair in this one.
