Salzburg have continued their dream run in this term of Europa League by eliminating Spanish Real Sociedad 4-3 on aggregate. The Bulls have previously topped their respective group in some manner, conceding just one goal in six matches to claim 12 out of possible 18 points ahead of the likes of Olympique Marseille.
Nonetheless, Marco Rose’s men are about to face the toughest challenge yet as they have to travel to Gremany to tackle heavyweights Borussia Dortmund for the place in the quarterfinal of the competition. BVB have had a dreadful campaign in the Champions League groups winning just two points in six outings, but they still managed to come third on goal difference.
Now that they’re here, the Germans obviously tend to go all the way and they are no doubts one of the main contenders for the title at this stage (particularly after eliminating Atalanta in the previous round). It was Chelsea’s loanee Michy Batshuayi who inspired the late comeback when La Dea visited Signal-Iduna-Park in the first leg and he will no doubts be the main threat to Salzburg’s goal in this particular tie.
Dortmund generally play much better under Peter Stoger who has managed to turn a corner for them and help the team break back into the top four in the domestic campaign.

As we mentioned above, the Austrian champions have been very tough to break down during the group stages, but they are now up against a super talented attacking lineup of Borussia’s and we doubt Rise’s side actually has what it takes to leave Signal-Iduna-Park undefeated.
The gulf in quality should be notable and we can hardly go past backing the home win as a banker at 1.50 odds. Alternatively, we will take Michy Batshuayi to find the net for the hosts and back up his fine display from the previous round against Atalanta.
