Bologna vs Udinese
Italian Serie A
Date: Saturday, 22 February 2020
Kick-off at 14:00 UK / 15:00 CET
Venue: Stadio Renato Dall’Ara (Bologna).
Udinese, winless in six, will be hoping to turn their fortunes around this weekend, when they take on shorthanded Bologna, a team they beat twice this season, 1-0 in Serie A and 4-0 in the Coppa Italia.
Bologna’s impressive four-game unbeaten run, which included three wins on the trot, came to an end last week as they fell to a heavy 0-3 home defeat to struggling Genoa.
Already depleted by injuries, the Greyhounds didn’t help themselves by picking up two red cards, which means they will be even more shorthanded against Zebrette on Saturday.
With the win-draw-loss record of 9-6-9, Bologna are sitting at tenth place, two points off of the Europa League spot.
Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side have registered four wins, four draws and four losses at Renato Dall’Ara this season, netting 1.42 goals per match and allowing bit more – 1.58 on average. ‘I Veltri’ have racked up eight points from their last five home bouts (2W, 2D, 1L).
The Friuliani extended their winless streak across competitions to six games following a scoreless draw with Hellas Verona. We had a draw and Under 2.5 goals in that one based on Udinese’s inability to convert their chances, and Luca Gotti’s men fully delivered with another futile outing.
They will be hoping to turn their fortunes around this weekend, when they take on Bologna, a team they beat twice this season, 1-0 in Serie A and 4-0 in the Coppa Italia. With 26 points to their name, Zebrette are just four points above the dropping zone.
Udinese have the second-worst away record in the division with two wins, two draws and eight losses, averaging 0.83 goals scored per game, whilst conceding 2 per bout in return. They have lost three of their last five road matches.

Bologna vs Udinese: Prediction
The hosts are hampered by injuries and suspension woes, but at least Musa Barrow is deemed fit. I’m confident they will find the back of the net here, but I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet in the process.
Yes, Udinese are struggling in the final third these days, but they surely know how to score against Bologna as they already bagged five goals against them this season. 83 percent of Veltri’s home games had goals on both sides.
As for my second pick, I will take Udinese in Double Chance market as it suits my 1-1 score line hunch. Good luck Everyone!
