Bologna vs Torino
Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday 21 October 2018
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK,
Venue: Stadio Renato Dall’Ara (Bologna).
Bologna will hope to try to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone as they take on Torino this Sunday. With Frosinone and Empoli also clashing, the Rossoblu will have one eye on the results from that game ahead of their own showdown with the Granata.
Although Bologna have shown some signs of improvement, they are not out of danger just yet. They have won against Roma – an impressive feat as they scored their first two goals – and then against Udinese, but dropped points in a not-so surprise loss to Juventus and then slipped up against Cagliari.
As such, it’s clear that they still have not completely sorted themselves out just yet, but will hope to take advantage of Torino’s less than consistent performance on the road and defensive struggles.
Torino have no issues finding the back of the net but they were actually given quite a scare against Frosinone in their last game before the international break.
The Canarini, who are 19th in the league, actually managed to score twice as the Granata allowed complacency to creep in and nearly had to settle for what would have been a very embarrassing point before waking up and fighting back to secure a 3-2 win.
It was a very bad showing from a side who should have won that game with ease and Walter Mazzarri will hope to see more concentration from his side in this match.
The Granata have had some comfortable fixture lists, beating bottom placed Chievo and fortunately surviving a scare against Frosinone to pick up six points.
They should have done better against an Atalanta side who have been quite bad all season, but managed a scoreless draw there.
Again, Mazzarri will be very concerned with what transpired in the 3-2 match against Frosinone and will naturally hope that was just a minor blip prior to the international break.

Bologna vs Torino: Prediction
With Bologna showing steady signs of improvement and Torino struggling to keep a clean sheet, the Rossoblu should be able to nick a goal.
After all, Bologna have scored in both of their last two home fixtures and Torino have seen both teams score in all but two of their last seven road fixtures (the only exceptions being against Atalanta and Chievo, which ended up as 0-0 and 1-0).
