Bologna vs Lazio: Prediction
Bologna will be hoping to end their 3-game winless streak when they welcome Lazio at Renato Dall’Ara Stadium on Sunday.
The Red and Blues, currently 11th with two wins, two draws and two losses, have lost their way after heartbreaking last-minute defeat to Roma as they failed to impress on their travels against Udinese and Genoa in which they picked up only one point and failed to score a single goal. Suspended Soriano will miss this match and Dijks is unlikely to play.
Lazio are heading into the game on the back of 2-1 win over Rennes in the Europa League. They’ve crushed Genoa 4-0 in the league fixture prior to that. With three wins, one draw and two losses, the Biancocelesti are sixth in the Serie A standings.
Simone Inzaghi wanted to rest few starters against French side, but he had make two subs at half-time, and one of them changed the match completely; Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored an equaliser and provided an assist for Ciro Immobile.
Bologna are scoring and conceding the same amount of goals – 1.17 per game. They are far more dangerous at home. The Red and Blues have won eight of the last ten Serie A games at this venue.
Lazio have an average of 1.33 goals scored per bout away from home, whilst conceding one per match. Unlike Bologna, they have a prolific striker in their ranks. Ciro Immobile has bagged five goals in the league.
I won’t pick a winner here, there are too many uknowns. Bologna is a tricky team and Lazio can’t be trusted with three losses on the road across competitions.
I’ll go with BTTS – Yes. Bologna have scored at least one goal in last nine league fixtures at home and Lazio have some solid options upfront. I will also back Immobile to score anytime.
