Bologna vs Inter Milan
Italy – Serie A
Date: Saturday, 2 November 2019
Kick-off at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET
Venue: Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Visibly tired Nerazzurri will be hoping to extend their winning streak on the road to six games. They struggled to contain Brescia in the previous round, and I won’t be surprised if they drop points on Saturday.

Bologna vs Inter Milan: Prediction
Bologna, currently 10th in the standings with three wins, three draws and four losses, suffered their third road defeat on the trot on Wednesday. Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men had a 1-0 lead at half-time but were unable to contain spirited and in-form Sardinians after the break and ended up empty-handed (2-3). The Veltri are heading back home to host second-best team in the league, Inter Milan.
Injured Medel, Tomiyasu, Destro, Dijks are still out for the hosts.
Inter Milan topped Brescia 2-1 in their latest league fixture thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku. The Nerazzurri were far from impressive, especially in the second half when Rondinelle bossed the game. Samir Handanovic made two crucial saves to help his team defend the lead. Sitting at the 2nd position, with 25pts to their name, they will take a short trip down south to face a tricky Bologna team.
Ranocchia, Sanchez are surely out, but Sensi should at least make the bench. D’Ambrosio and Vecino will be evaluated before the game.
The Veltri have win-draw-loss record of 2-1-1 at Renato Dall’Ara this season. They have an average of 1.50 goals scored per game at this venue, whilst conceding 1.25. Three of their four games at home had BTTS – Yes. They’re projected to start in usual 4-2-3-1 formation with Rodrigo Palacio up-front.
The Nerazzurri have faultless record away from home – 5-0-0. They’re scoring 2.60 goals per bout on travels, whist conceding 1.20 per match. We have seen at least three goals and BTTS – Yes in four of their five games on the road. Conte will field a standard 3-5-2 formation with Lukaku and Martinez (Esposito) in the attack.
Both teams to score is the way to go here, I think. Inter are tired and in slight decline, Antonio Conte is not happy with squad depth and Beppe Marotta will be a busy bee in January. Bologna are a tough place to visit and I’m confident the hosts will get on the score sheet.
As an alternative bet, I’ll pick Bologna in Double-Chance market. Inter took only 6 shots against Brescia and struggled to contain the newcomers after the break.
