Bologna vs Fiorentina: Prediction
Bologna climbed up on the ladder following back-to-back wins over Atalanta (2-1) at home and Lecce (3-2) on the road. The Veltri have claimed ten points from last five league outings and they will be hoping to extend their winning streak when they take on struggling Fiorentina.
With the win-draw-loss record of 6-4-7, Emilia-Romagna giant are sitting at 9th position, seven points behind seventh-placed Cagliari.
Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side have recorded three wins, two draws and three defeats at Renato Dall’Ara this season, scoring and conceding goals at the same rate – 1.63 per match.
Krejci and Dijks are surely out with injuries; Dzemaili and Santander will be evaluated before the game.
15th-placed La Viola stretched their winless streak in the league to seven games after an embarrassing 1-4 home defeat to Roma. Shortly after that, the board sacked Vincenco Montella and opted to hire the 55-year-old Giuseppe Iachini, even though Luciano Spalletti was available.
Beppe Iachini has mastered Serie B as he gained promotion to the top-flight with four different sides (Chievo, Brescia, Sampdoria, Palermo), but never really made it in Serie A.
Fiorentina have logged two wins, two draws and four defeats away from Artemio Franchi, averaging 1.38 goals scored per game and shipping 1.75 in return. They’ve lost three away games in a row.
Everyone bar Franck Ribery are fit to play.
An in-form Bologna have scored at least two goals in each of their last five league matches, whilst Viola have conceded fourteen goals over the last six bouts. With that in mind, I’m going to back the hosts to net two or more on Monday.
As for my second bet, I’ll go for goals on both ends. Seven of the eight Bologna home games had over 2.5 goals & BTTS – Yes and both teams have scored in 75 percent of the Fiorentina road fixtures.
Bologna vs Fiorentina: Betting Tips
