Bolivia vs Peru
Copa America (Group A)
Date: Tuesday, 18 June 2019
Kick-off at 22:30 UK/ 23:30 CET
Venue: Maracanã (Rio de Janeiro).
Bolivia was unlucky to start against tournament hosts as well as overwhelming favorites Brazil. Quite expectedly, the result went the way of the Selecao.
While the Bolivians did try to swing the game to their favor and succeeded a little bit in that regards, the abundance of talent and experience on the other side was just too much to handle.
Philippe Coutinho, after a low-key club season with Barcelona, exploded to a new life in international colors. In the absence of talisman Neymar Jr, the winger led the attack of the home team and contributed the first two goals. Later, as a formality, a third was added to the tally to complete the 3-0 scoreline.
Peru played a goalless draw with Venezuela to share one point each on the table after the first round of the group stages. The latter had finished in the bottom of the CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers, while Peru had taken a ticket, giving the boot to Chile. Despite that confidence, they failed in recording a win in their opener.
The failure to secure the three points seems even more problematic when it is considered that Venezuela was one man short on the pitch due to the ref brandishing a red card.
Bolivia vs Peru Head-to-head (h2h)

Bolivia vs Peru Prediction
Bolivia lost their last four games in a row and failed to score in all of them. In fact, in their last seven matches, the team could find the back of the net in just one. Going on, they are winless in their last eight fixtures and was so in 16 of their last 17.
Importantly, Peru has been dominating this opponent for quite some time in face-to-face clashes. To quote a stat, Bolivia stands winless in such encounters for the last eleven years or so. They have not been able to record a clean sheet in the last five such battles and lost the last three ties on the trot as well. They also conceded two or more goals in all three of these games.
Also, since the other match in the group is Venezuela vs Brazil, which the latter will win most likely, a victory in this game will take Peru to the second spot. And as such, their chances to get to the quarters increases manifold.
Expect Peru to have the match in control.
