Blackpool vs Doncaster Rovers
England – League One
Date: Friday, 30 March 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: Bloomfield Road (Blackpool).
Mid-table rivals Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers are set to tackle each other on Friday afternoon at Bloomfield Road. Both teams are on a safe distance from the relegation zone, and a win here might well remove all doubts about saving the third class status for any of two sides who are currently separated by only a single point.
The Seasiders have been on a fine spell of form lately. They’ve conceded just a single goal in last three games collecting five points along the way. Overall, Blackpool have only suffered a single defeat in last nine league affairs and they will be looking to continue such form on Friday afternoon against the Donny.
However, we have to praise the visitors as well for being super stern at the back recently. Darren Ferguson’s men have kept back-to-back clean sheets in games against Southend United and Bradford City and they will also come into this high on confidence. Donny’s problems start to appear on travels, though, given that the former League Two outfit have not won a single of last seven league games on the road. The lack of meticulousness at the back has caused such a poor streak for the Rovers, but it will be very interesting to see how they will performer here given that they’ve kept things tight at the back in the last couple of matches.
The fans at The Keepmoat Stadium could have enjoyed a six-goal thriller when Doncaster and Blackpool shared spoils in a 3-3 draw in this the first H2H meeting in this term of League Two.
Overall, the Seasiders have had much more success in the past winning 11 and losing only 4 of 21 encounters with the Donny.
Before the mentioned draw, Blackpool were on a run of four straight victories in games against Doncaster.
We expect to see a clash completely opposite to the one played in November at The Keepmoat Stadium.
Both teams will tend to keep up with their fine spell of defensive form and we’ll go with the low-scoring contest as the main betting suggestion.
As for the outcome, the draw is the closes of three and we’ll take it at 3.40 as an alternative option.
Under 2.5 goals FT @ 1.61
Draw @ 3.40.
