Blackburn Rovers vs Milton Keynes Dons
2017/18 English League One
Date: Saturday, 26th August 2017
Kick off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Ewood Park.
Blackburn Rovers had a rough start to the new League One campaign, but they managed to bounce back last weekend when they took three points from The Coral Windows Stadium in Bradford (0-1 win).
Tony Mowbray’s men will be looking to build on this fine defensive display this Saturday when they host Milton Keynes Dons at their Ewood Park.
Mowbray remained on the bench determined to lead the Riversiders towards an instant comeback to Championship, but his ambitions suffered a massive blow with back-to-back losses to Southend United and Doncaster Rovers at the start of the League campaign.
The hosts have had huge troubles with the defensive line which seemed way too vulnerable at the start of the competition, but Tony managed to improve it as the team kept a clean sheet in the mentioned victory over the Bantams last weekend.
Milton Keynes Dons
Blackburn will have a nice chance to make it back-to-back clean sheets this Saturday given that Milton have been struggling a lot to find goals at the start of the new season.
The visitors bagged only a single goal (Osman Sow) in three opening outings, but they have not conceded too many either (apart from the 1-4 League Cup defeat to Premier League outfit Swansea City in mid-week).
Blackburn vs MK Dons: Head to head
This will only be the fourth head to head meeting between the two sides.
Milton have been more successful in the League Cup clash from August 2012, while each of the sides got a win in the 2015/16 season of Championship.
Blackburn vs MK Dons: Predictions
The Rovers will likely want to keep things tight at the back just as they did last Saturday against Bradford City.
Knowing that Milton play ultra defensive football at the start of the new season, we have no other option but to back the Under 2.5 goals FT bet as the top betting prediction here.
Blackburn vs MK Dons: Bet Tips
The first pick is Under 2.5 goals FT at the odds of 17/20 @ Unibet.
The second pick would be Blackburn Rovers to keep a clean sheet at 7/4 @ Betfred.
