Birmingham City vs Reading
English League Championship
Date: Tuesday, 23rd October 2018
Kick-off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: St Andrews (Birmingham).
Birmingham City and Reading clinch into each other on Tuesday looking for points to keep them away from the relegation zone.
Birmingham may be sitting in the middle of the table but it’s far too early to exclude them from the relegation battle. They need to prove themselves in such games for that to happen. The team plays decently well but the interesting part is that The Blues are taking more points as visitors than hosts. That’s not so common especially for a team that had strong home bias in some previous seasons.
Birmingham are on the rise in recent weeks and this was further proven on Saturday when they managed to defeat Stoke City on the road. The Blues defended deep and well hitting fast and hard on the counter. They had more shots on target despite controlling the ball in just 30% of the time. Adams scored the winner in the 81st minute giving his team all the points and a confidence boost.
Reading are struggling for a second season in a row. The team from Madejski stadium still tries to find its face and style. They are just 2 points above the danger zone and may easily slip in there with a disappointing result in this midweek fixture.
Last weekend the Royals managed to breathe in some fresh air. At home against a fellow relegation rival such as Millwall they had little room for mistakes. Meite produced a top drawer performance scoring twice and helping his team to a 3-1 victory.

Birmingham vs Reading: Predictions
Birmingham looks to be in form but The Royals also tried to pick some momentum last game. The thing that worries Birmingham fans are the too many draws at home.
The Blues have hard times finishing games off and this costs them a lot of points. The game leans slightly towards the home side but not enough for odds of around 1.80 to be justified.
The BTTS option looks most viable here and is recommended here. Reading have scored in the first half in their last 3 away games and took the lead twice in the first half. We can opt for them to avoid losing at half time.
