Besiktas vs Adanaspor
Turkish Super Lig
Date: Monday, 24th April 2017
Kick off at 18:00 UK/ 19:00 CET
Venue: Vodafone Arena.
Besiktas will have one of the easiest tasks on their way to the 15th Super Lig title in the 28th round of the competition.
The current leaders, who sit five points above Istanbul Basaksehir at the second position, will host the rock-bottomed Adanaspor on Monday evening at their Vodafone Arena in the last game of the Matchday.
Senol Gunes has done a fantastic job with Besiktas so far in the season. The team will, however, come in the game in a bad mood after Europa League elimination to Lyon after penalties.
The Turkish side played an outstanding game, especially Talisca, who bagged a brace to lead the match into extra time, but the Croat defender Matej Mitrovic missed the deciding penalty to push Lyon through to the semis.
Besiktas previous netted as many as seven goals in back-to-back league wins over Gencerlibirligi and Trabzonspor.
The story is completely different with Adanaspor who sit at the foot of the Super Lig standings.
Levent Sahin’s main problems pop out at the back because the team does not have the competitive defensive line.
Adana conceded as many as seven goals in consecutive defeats to Galatasaray and Rizespor in the last round.
The dismal run of seven losses in last eight league fixtures moved the team to a seven-point distance from the safe zone.
Besiktas vs Adanaspor: Head to head
Besiktas are clearly the more successful side in head to head encounters, but they were not super impressive in the last three meetings with Adana.
Adana picked up a narrow 1-0 win in their last official meeting back in 2004, while the match from this term of Super Lig has seen Besiktas snatching a 1-2 away victory.
Besiktas vs Adanaspor: Prediction
The hosts are massive favourites and we expect a pleasant evening for the home team fans at Vodafone Arena.
The only question is the margin of the victory for the current leaders. We expect it to be at least three goals.
