Belarus vs Hungary
International Friendly
Date: Wednesday, 6th June 2018
Kick-Off at 18:00 UK
Venue: Stadyen DASK Brestski (Brest).
Belarus have beaten Azerbaijan and Slovenia in their last two outings and they now travel to France for their clash against Hungary in the hope they can build on the success. They’ve been putting on solid defensive displays and manager Igor Kriushenko will surely want another such display on the day.
Hungary will be no easy rivals to outclass but they’ve seen a couple of underwhelming displays recently, suffering a 2-3 loss to Kazakhstan and a 0-1 to Scotland in March. They still have time to pick it up ahead of September’s outings and we now expect a great challenge in an attempt to do so as soon as Wednesday.
White Wings have proven themselves as a very tough side recently and they have high hopes of capitalizing on the UEFA Nations League format of their own, though. They’ve conceded no goals in 2018 and we do believe they come more motivated at this point, looking for their third clean sheet in a row despite another tough challenge expected.
Belarus vs Hungary Head-to-head
- Hungary have never beaten Belarus.
- Belarus have earned a 2-5 win back in 2002 and held the rivals to a 1-1 draw in 2013.
- We’ve thus seen goals on both ends in both of their two head-to-head clashes so far.
Belarus vs Hungary Predictions
We will now back Belarus to hold off the rivals once again and go for a Draw at 3.10. We expect a very narrow occasion at Stadyen DASK Brestski and this does shape the best way to go about it, with both sides motivated to put on solid defensive displays and lift their team spirits.
With that in mind, we don’t feel we’ll see many goals this time around and we’ll also back Under 2.5 goal s FT at 1.57. We’ve seen such contests in two of both sides’ respective last three outings and we should now be in for another such occasion in Brest, as the bet shapes to be more of a banker material at this point.
