Bayern Munich started their pre-season in style with wins over local sides Wolfratshausen and Erlangen netting 13 goals in the process. With fitness on their side, the defeated Bundesliga sides Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen in the just concluded Telekom Cup.
Ancelotti has most of his senior players available for this clash. Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels have all landed in Shanghai, alongside the new signings James Rodriguez and Corentin Tolisso. Meanwhile, four players Joshua Kimmich, Sebastian Rudy, Niklas Sule and Arturo Vidal, who were part of respective national squads at the Confederations Cup will be unavailable.
Arsenal are also coming with some confidence in their bag after a successful tour of Australia. They defeated Sydney FC and WS Wanderers in the process.
Alexis Sanchez is yet to join the squad after being part of Chile in the Confederations Cup final defeat against Germany. The new signing Alexandre Lacazette will be raring to go alongside seasoned campaigners Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud.
